I joined the Department of Geography & Environment at the London School of Economics in August 2008. I am Director of Planning, managing both the MSc in Regional and Urban Planning Studies and the PhD in Regional and Urban Planning.
I am a planner by training, having studied for an MSc in Community & Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Austin (1996). I hold a PhD in Urban Policy from the University of Portsmouth (1999). My work deals primarily with issues of governance and local planning including sustainable development, urban heritage and community participation. I have often used Social Network Analysis to explore the complex relationships in the multi-level, multi-actor partnerships present in modern governing arrangements.
Nancy you are such a great teacher, and for the little time at the LSE, great spirit! GREETINGS FROM CUENCA, ECUADOR.
